Welcome to B-Town Barbell Club in Benton, AR! I’m Grant Heston, gym owner and NASM Certified Personal Trainer. Throughout college and my late twenties, I completely let myself go. I woke up one morning and realized just how overweight and out of shape I was. Shortly before my daughter was born I decided to take my life back. I started learning everything I could about fitness, nutrition, weight loss, health, etc. and implemented everything I learned in order to change my habits. I started eating healthy and exercising and with hard work and determination I was able to lose over 80 lbs., transforming my body and my life. No pills, no surgeries, no shortcuts; I ate right and exercised.

In 2010, I obtained my NASM-CPT certification and began my personal training business and in October of 2013, I opened B-Town Barbell Club, a strength and conditioning facility offering Bootcamps, Kickboxing, and Personal Training. Bootcamps

Our boot camps are not the same old tired bodyweight routines you find at most places. Here we focus on increasing the intensity of the fundamental movements like squats, deadlifts, presses, etc. and introducing new variations and advanced exercises to ensure that we push past your body’s adaptation response to the previous challenges. We use basic barbells, dumbbells, rings and suspension straps, kettlebells, slamballs, chains, battle ropes, heavy tires, sledgehammers, sleds, kegs, and more in our classes!

Kickboxing

If you are sick of treadmills, ellipticals, and other traditional forms of cardio, come try out one of my kickboxing classes! Kickboxing is a unique workout that uses your entire body, develops power and force production, and vastly improves cardiovascular performance. It is also a valuable self-defense skill and a great stress reliever. Clients rotate between a speed bag, a double end bag, a double-double end bag, several heavy bags, and with me using focus mitts during the class. We incorporate punches, kicks, elbows, knees, and cover all aspects of striking. We change the timing of the rounds from class to class and work in intervals, full boxing rounds, and MMA rounds. Everyone is drenched in sweat by the time they leave!
