Stuffed Jalapenos

I modified a Stuffed Jalapenos recipe that I’d had at a party to make them a little healthier. They have been a hit with everyone who has tried them.  They are a perfect little appetizer, or if you get carried away like we do sometimes, a full meal!  These are perfect for times when you are trying to watch your carb intake.

INGREDIENTS
12 jalapeno peppers
1 lb ground turkey breakfast sausage
1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1 container fat free cream cheese

DIRECTIONS
Wash the peppers and split them in half.  De-seed them and set them aside.  Brown the turkey sausage and then drain it.  Combine the Parmesan cheese and cream cheese in the pan with the meat and melt them to make a mixture.  Spoon the mix evenly into the split peppers and bake then in an oven on a greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes
